Variability of the team during a project management
A composition of the project
team may also vary according to an organizational structure. An example of this
is the project in question. A project can be established as a partnership, a
joint venture, consortium or alliance among various agencies through contracts
or arrangements. In this framework, an organization takes a lead and designates
a project manager to coordinate efforts among partners. Partnership-based
projects can offer flexibility at a lower cost. These advantages can be
counteracted by the lower degree of control exercised by the project manager
over team members and the need for strong communication and monitoring
mechanisms of progress. Projects in partnership can be established to explore
industrial synergies for a realization of ventures that only a relative does
not need to bank alone, or political and strategic portfolios.
A composition of the project
team may also vary according to a geographical location of its members. An
example of this is as virtual equipment. As communication technologies, staff
in several places or countries function as virtual teams. As virtual teams rely
on collaborative tools such as online shared workspaces and video conferencing
to coordinate their activities and exchange information about the project.
Finally the team can vary
according to the time and stage of the project, where for each phase of the
project, it is necessary a specialist to perform the respective function. A
large project, where initially the project counts on architects and engineers
responsible for the elaboration and calculation of the plan, being able to be
contracted temporarily or fixed throughout the project. After the planning, the
project begins its execution counting also in charge or masters of work, as
well as masons, painters and electricians for each phase of the work. Finally,
in parallel to the construction, the project counts on a sales team responsible
for the commercialization of the same. What is what is in use in the set during
the process, or without purpose of the activities, being distributed a team at
each stage of the work.
